June
6/11 Monthly Volunteer Day (Monday from 1-5PM): Getting rid of those weeds so those carrots, onions, and greens can grown big & juicy!
6/24 Eco Tour Harvest By Bike (a part of the Ecology Center’s Eco Ride):
Lucas DiGia of Rap For Food, whose mission is to support localization, sustainable food systems, and youth gardening through the arts, will lead this effort. EcoTour riders interested in adding a unique farming/riding experience can join the Rap For Food Team when they register online (limited slots available). The RFF Team will bring back a sampling of fresh produce from participating tour stops to the festival site, which will later be turned into a pedal-powered batch of The Brinery‘s Kim-chee!
6/30 Barn Dance @ the home of Barry Lonik, featuring the Appleseed Collective! (Suggested donation is $15-25, Students & Farmers get in for only $10!! @ 11300 Island Lake Road, Dexter, MI)
